Yarra Valley Wedding | Natasha & Sam

A rustic and pretty vineyard wedding with a touch of romance in the Yarra Valley!

Yarra Valley Wedding

Natasha and Sam were married in front of family and friends in a magical ceremony, full of love and happiness at Potter’s, Melbourne in the Yarra Valley. Natasha found her dream dress in our ‘Alaska‘ style from the Emanuella collection. She shared some thoughts about her gown and wedding day with us….

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Natasha: We met at work when we were 18. We both started around the same time and were friends for a few years before we actually started dating.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Natasha: During our holiday on a long and tiring 3 hour bike ride. He proposed on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco which was really special as I am originally from there.

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Natasha: We had kind of a mixed theme. I love the outdoors and nature, so wanted something rustic and pretty with a touch of romance.

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Natasha: The emotion that came with all the special moments. Getting ready with my besties, dad walking me down the aisle, reading our vows, first dances, speeches. It was really spectacular to see all the effort put into our perfect day come to life.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Natasha: It was overwhelming. I tried on too many dresses based on what others said ‘would look good on me.’ When I found the Alaska I was instantly drawn to the delicate details of the lace and beading. Sure enough, when I tried it on it was so comfortably soft, yet elegant and fit like a glove! I love the way the back sits lower and gather with the gorgeous trail behind.

Peter Trends Bridal: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day? Natasha: It was magical, full of love and happiness all around. We organised to give our parents and siblings special roles throughout the day, including bridal party duties, ceremony reading and lighting of candles to give them a chance to shine as well.

Peter Trends Bridal: Any words of wisdom for future brides? Natasha: Make sure you stop and take it all in during your special day. Plan ahead, book things in advance so you don’t miss out. It’s a good idea to create and mark off a to-do list to ensure you are organised.
