Alanna and Sam partied the night away at Wylie’s Baths for their wedding reception, after a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean.

Alanna and Sam met through a mutual friend 8 years ago. Their mate, went on to be the best man for their beautiful wedding earlier this year. The ceremony was a gorgeous outdoor event at Randwick Golf Club, followed by a party reception at Wylie’s Baths in Coogee. Alanna found the dress of her dreams in our Dominica gown and was looked after by our head office studio in Roseville. She paired her lace dress with a custom organza train for the ceremony. Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Alanna: Through a mutual friend who became our best man. Over 8 years ago when we were 20.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Alanna: On top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge!!

Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Alanna: Being able to celebrate our love in the presence of all of our families and friends, it was so special and we would do it all over again if we could!

Peter Trends: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Alanna: We just wanted it to feel like us. We both have the same taste and had the same decorations for our 21st birthdays. So, nothing in particular, just wanted it to feel like us.

Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Alanna: I found it quite stressful until I found my dress, Then it seemed easy!

Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown? Alanna: Love the pearl detail!!! I am a huge fan or pearls, so it was perfect! (Alanna wore the Dominica gown with embellished pearl bodice detail).

Peter Trends: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day? Alanna: My shoe broke while walking down the aisle, I kicked them off and walked the rest of the way barefoot while everyone laughed and cheered! What a great moment for everyone. Didn’t plan on getting married barefoot, but it was great!
