Wisconsin Wedding

Monica and Art were married on 5 May 2018 in a beautiful ceremony at St Benedict Catholic Church, which was followed by their reception at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Art knew Monica was the one for him from the moment he met her! Monica found her dream gown in our Alaska style and was looked after by Eva’s Bridal International. Monica paired her gown with a matching hairpiece from the Peter Trends collection.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Monica: We met at a mutual friends housewarming party – unfortunately I was dating someone else at the time and Art was very upset. He says he went to sleep that night knowing one day I would be his. Flash forward a year later – I was single and we reconnected on facebook.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Monica: Art proposed at the top of Big Sky Mountain Sky Resort in Montana while skiing.

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Monica: At first it started off as a nautical type theme as the reception was on Lake Geneva but over time it ended up being more chic rustic. We had a lot of sequins but also some rustic elements in our centerpieces.

Peter Trends Bridal: Do you have any words of wisdom for future brides? Monica: Dress shopping might not be like they show it on TV! Don’t go with too many people and remember it is YOUR day – if you love it, go for it!

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Monica: Our first dance as a married couple. We also made a point during dinner to just take a minute and look out the entire reception hall. It was amazing to take it all in knowing we planned it all and pulled off a great party!
