Rustic Country Wedding

Courtney and Tom were married on 11th May 2018 at Proserpine Catholic Church with a rustic country wedding reception afterwards at their property, Yarraman Park Station. The day was filled with special moments and love, especially with their one year old son sharing the limelight! Courtney made the drive down from her property to Under the Veil in Sarina and found her dream gown in the Dominica May from our Emanuella collection. Only one day of shopping and that was it!

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Courtney: My husband was living with my cousin at the time, so we met at his place.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Courtney: Tom proposed in the morning while waking up. He grew a sunflower in the garden, brought it in with a ring on the flower and got down on one knee.

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Courtney: My most favourite part was getting ready before the ceremony with my family and seeing Tom’s face for the first time at the church.

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Courtney: Our theme was rustic country / elegant.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Courtney: I found it difficult at the start, as we don’t have bridal shops in the Whitsundays. We drove to Sarina, Queenland and found my gown that day (at Under the Veil).

Peter Trends Bridal: What did you love about your wedding gown? Courtney: Simple, elegant, comfortable and lightweight. I customised my dress by removing the pearl belt and adding a Peter Trends sparkly belt with pearls. It was so comfortable to wear all day and all night.

Peter Trends Bridal: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day? Courtney: The most special thing on our wedding day was getting to share our special moment with our son who was one at the time.

Peter Trends Bridal: Any words of wisdom for future brides? Courtney: Your wedding day is your day, so do what you want and enjoy every minute.
