Rustic Country Wedding – Victoria

Brianna and Trent were married earlier this year in a beautiful and relaxed country setting in South West Victoria. Brianna put together a custom Peter Trends bridal gown together with the guidance of Michelle of Empire Bridal in Melbourne. By combining the bodice and skirt of two different gowns, Brianna created her dream gown with a guipure lace bodice and a floaty chiffon skirt. We asked her a few questions about her wedding day….

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Brianna: Trent and I met when we swiped right on Tinder 5 years ago. After talking for a few weeks we met for coffee and have been together ever since.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Brianna: Trent proposed to me on his birthday in 2017 at a look out which overlooked the city where we first met and where our children were born.

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Brianna: We wanted rustic with a touch of elegance. Our colours were cream, charcoal and rust with hints of greenery. We were married in my country hometown in South West Victoria which gave us rustic inspiration.

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Brianna: Saying our vows to each other, we were so lost in the moment, it felt like no one else was there with us and felt so meaningful and special.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Brianna: Quick and hectic! I only went to one shop with my mum and two children in tow, between tending to the kids I found the perfect combo for my custom dress!

Peter Trends Bridal: What did you love about your wedding gown? Brianna: I loved that it suited by body shape and made me feel amazing, the detail on the straps and bodice is incredible.

Peter Trends Bridal: Do you have any words of wisdom for future brides? Brianna: Enjoy each moment, even the stressful ones, the day goes so quickly – don’t worry about anything going wrong and just keep smiling.
