Palm Beach Wedding – Natalie & Matthew

Natalie and Matthew exchanged vows in January 2018 at Governor Phillip Park at one of Sydney’s most iconic locations, Palm Beach. They held a reception afterwards at Moby Dicks, Whale Beach and danced the night away under twinkling lights. Natalie chose the Madagascar lace wedding dress from our Emanuella collection and completed the look with a veil for the ceremony and then floral hair crown for the reception. The photos ooze moody grandeur and a style unique to Joel of Barefoot and Bearded Photography. Here we asked Natalie a few questions about her wedding day….

Palm Beach Wedding

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Natalie: There were many, but my favourite moment if I had to pick one was when I arrived at the ceremony and I saw Matt for the first time that day. My heart exploded – it was such a special and emotional moment. I wanted to run down to him as fast as I could!

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Natalie: Easy! It was the first shop my Mum and I went to and it was the first dress I tried on! I tried on a total of 5 dresses. It was love at first sight! You just know! My Mum cried!

Peter Trends Bridal: What did you love about your wedding gown? Natalie: I loved how comfortable it was. I loved the detail of the front and back of the dress. I found it really complimented my figure.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Natalie: Matt and I used to correspond via email for work. One day Matt sent an email which was just a smiley face, and asked me out on a date. The rest was history!

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your husband propose to you? Natalie: He took me to a look out near where we lived (Woo-la-ra, Olympic Park) at sunset. We climbed to the top of the mountain and he bent down to tie his shoe lace, and asked me to hold his phone. I went to put his phone in my pocket when he yelled, WAIT! Can you tell me the time. As I looked at his phone he had his wallpaper on his phone saying “WILL YOU MARRY ME” as I looked down at him he had the ring.

Peter Trends Bridal: Any words of wisdom for future brides? Natalie: BREATHE. Take it all in and enjoy a few moments along with your husband! It all goes by so fast so try and take it all in as much as you can.

Peter Trends Bridal: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day? Natalie: Our wedding was the most magical day I could have ever imagined. We were surrounded by our family and friends that love us. It was perfect weather and the perfect location. It was like a dream! A day I will never forget.
