Lauren & Jason’s Funky Arthouse city wedding in Philadelphia, USA

Lauren & Jason wanted a wedding that was a bit different, and what better place to get married than an old iron warehouse turned art gallery! This hidden gem is perfect for those that want a unique wedding experience. The bride was wearing our Australian designed wedding dress which is the dreamy California gown from the Emanuella Collection.

Lauren and Henry met on a night out through friends, and they immediately hit it off. Fast-forward and the bride, who is a massive Beatles fan, told us that Jason proposed to her at home with All You Need Is Love in the background, and she did not hesitate for a moment!

The bride and groom wanted their wedding to be a little different; a romantic, edgy, and city vibe. the venue being an iron gallery did most of the work, with the everyday decor they use.
The Artesano Iron Gallery is located in one of the oldest parts of Philadelphia. The historic sprawling warehouse offers a unique, spacious loft style space. As you enter through the high glass facade you are surrounded by architectural art masterpieces, white marble tiled floors, magnificent walls and a grand staircase.

It was a breathtaking wedding with equal parts urban charm and historic elegance, along with culture & art. The celebrant was Lauren’s brother & best friend, which made the ceremony very personal and fun.

The favourite part of the wedding day for Lauren was when they first saw each other out by the river with a few shots to get them ready. It was so much fun on the boardwalk and under the bridge!

The bride was wearing our low back wedding dress, California from the Emanuella Collection. Just like the spirit of the bride, this gown was designed for that breezy and playful kind of bride. Exquisite hand beaded detail and V neck with a touch of illusion neckline, this ball gown dress has a starry night kind of magic. The dress was created by Australian wedding dress designers and sisters Monique & Paulein of Peter Trends Bridal, Sydney.

Lauren found her dress at DayDream Bridal, Ardmore, PA, and said she found the experience of shopping for a wedding gown incredibly easy. “Daydream Bridal couldn’t have made it a more fun and easy experience; I didn’t want to look anywhere else”.

When asked what she loved about her wedding gown, Lauren exclaimed:
“What didn’t I love? It was comfortable and just the perfect amount of glam. I never anticipated seeing myself with a fuller skirt but after I put it on, I never wanted to take it off!!!”

Later in the evening Lauren added a silver and black leather bridal jacket, which looked sensational. This bride and groom totally rock!

We asked Lauren, do you have any words of wisdom for future brides?
When people tell you it goes fast, believe them. Also, if something doesn’t go the way you anticipate or if something goes wrong, no one knows that except you, so go with the flow and pretend it was intentional all along and don’t stress out on this amazing day.

We also wanted to know if there was anything special that Lauren would like to share with us about your wedding day?. Lauren advised, “I encourage people to use an officiant that they are close with. My brother, who is my best friend, was our officiant and it was one of the best parts of the day. He made it hilarious and personal in the best ways. That truly made the day extra special”.
