Our beautiful Peter Trends bride Cassandra chose a stunningly simple wedding dress from the Sydney boutique for her wedding to Matthew.

Cassandra and Matthew were married on 12th May 2018 at the Green Cathedral in NSW. The setting was one of immense natural beauty and a solemn presence. The photos by Jae from White Design images are just spectacular. Cassandra was looked after at our Sydney head office boutique, as we had dressed both her sisters previously for their weddings and we were honoured Cass came back to us too. She paired a beaded belt from our accessories range with her elegant and simple wedding dress, as well as an ornate lace edge veil. The veil looks amazing in the breeze! We asked Cass to share a few thoughts about her wedding day and shopping for a gown….

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Cassandra: On a jumping castle at a friends 21st birthday party.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Cassandra: We hiked through the forest from our fairytale style cottage in Nannup, Western Australia. We reached a waterfall where in the trunk of a large hollowed out tree Matthew got down on one knee.

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Cassandra: Our inspiration for the wedding was the natural beauty of the Green Cathedral: the grandiose native tress, the tranquil lake and the sweet sounds of the birds in the trees.

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favourite part of your wedding day? Cassandra: My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle, seeing all my friends and family and my hubby to be waiting for me.

Simple Wedding Dress Sydney

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Cassandra: I flew to Sydney from Perth to try on dresses at Peter Trends Bridal in Roseville. Both my sisters had found their wedding gowns here so I knew I could find mine here too. I took my mum and sister and within an hour I had found my dress and accessories (belt and veil).

Peter Trends Bridal: What did you love about your wedding gown? Cassandra: I loved the simplistic elegance of my dress from the soft mikado silk, the full skirt, sweetheart neckline to the beaded detail on the edges of the long double veil.

Peter Trends Bridal: Do you have any words of wisdom for future brides? Cassandra: The day goes so quickly, make sure you plan some one on one time as a couple.
