Bridal Photoshoot | 2020 Collection

About an hour north of Sydney city is a secluded beach accessed only by boat! Great Mackerel Beach is a hidden gem, with a handful of holiday houses surrounded by national park. For us this location was the quintessential example of the Australian coastal lifestyle; blue skies, clear, clean water and a laid back atmosphere in which to relax and celebrate our love of nature and the sun! Perfect for a bridal photoshoot……

Great Mackerel Beach

Only a handful of people live in this idyllic location full time. We found an old original sandstone cottage on the absolute beach front which enjoys the sun all day long. It had uninterrupted views of Pittwater, a water wonderland for sailors, picnickers and Sydneysiders wanting to escape the rush of the city for the day or the weekend. As the house faces east, we woke to the most magnificent sunrise which set the romantic tone for the day.

In preparation for our shoot day, we had brought in the Emanuella, Diva Curves and Peter Trends Bridal collections by boat the day before. It was a hard slog, carrying suitcases and gowns across the sand from the wharf but so worth it for the sublime view! The next day our team arrived, including beautiful models Bree and Jessica, our photographer and make up artist. Our models were super excited to get started and both exclaimed that Great Mackerel Beach would be the perfect destination for their own weddings!

Not long after we began shooting, a friendly neighbour dropped by to say hello. As fate would have it, his own son and daughter in law were married on the beach just a few month prior to our visit. He said the wedding was magical as guests arrived by boat, witnessed the wedding on the beach and sat at long tables in the beach house garden.

The Emanuella collection for 2020 features spectacular laces and sophisticated silhouettes. We have draped sleeves, bodice corsetry, luxury crepe and standout trains. Everything for the modern bride! We were honoured to have the divine Bree of Edge Models show off the range to perfection.

Diva Curves Collection

We were delighted to have our favourite Diva model, Jess, back on board. She is an amazing model, a joy to work with and heaps of fun to have on a bridal photoshoot! Our gowns just seem to work perfectly for her and we love collaborating.

And that’s a wrap…

The Peter Trends Bridal 2020 collection will be launched to buyers in Sydney and Melbourne this month and will begin arriving in stores around Christmas 2019. In the meantime, you can preview the gowns in Sydney at our head office bridal studio in Roseville and at selected stockists. The new range will be launched during Fall in the USA and will then travel across the States at various trunk show events.
