Christina and Peter first met at work. They soon found that they shared many loves – hiking through the great outdoors, animals and Chinese food to name a few! Christina chose to wear the lace Madagascar gown from our Emanuella collection, which she paired with a bespoke tulle and lace overskirt that we made especially for her. Their wedding was an intimate affair held in the bride’s backyard in California. Here Christina answered a few questions about her day for us….

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you meet your husband? Christina: At work. We go to hiking group together. I was surprised to find out he loves Chinese food and we decided to go out to eat and started dating.

Peter Trends Bridal: How did your partner propose to you? Christina: He proposed to me in front of our neighbor’s sheep (Poco) because we visit the sheep really often [and share a love of animals].

Peter Trends Bridal: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown? Christina: Great. I shopped at a lot of wedding dress places. Peter Trends is special, a really detailed design, great lace, really easy to communicate with and big room for customization.

Peter Trends Bridal: What did you love about your bridal gown? Christina: It’s unique. Detailed, delicate, graceful, comfortable and light – great for a garden wedding!

Peter Trends Bridal: Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration? Christina: Simple, garden, animals and cars. My husband is a big car person and we love animals as well.

Peter Trends Bridal: What was your favorite part of your wedding day? Christina: The intimacy of the wedding. Everything was tailored to our preference and we had a great planner and photographer – really lucky!

Peter Trends Bridal: What were the special moments you will treasure from your wedding day? Christina: My husband cried a couple of times, which was so shocking for me as I had never seen him in tears before. It is so special for me.
