When it comes to timeless elegance, nothing compares to a wedding infused with personal touches, a stunning location ,and a bride who looks like she stepped out of a fairytale.
Such was the case with Carolyn and Andrew’s picturesque wedding in Pennsylvania, set against a backdrop of greenery, romantic architecture and vibrant colorful touches.
As with all our brides, we just love to know the love story behind every couple so we asked Carolyn how she met her partner and how did he propose to you?
Andrew and I met at a pool party, and he proposed on the beach during the sunrise on our family vacation in North Carolina.
He had my one girlfriend take photos of us on the beach and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He then packed a cooler of champagne and orange juice to celebrate with mimosas. We then celebrated later that night with a nice dinner and celebratory drinks with our close friends and family.
Carolyn and Andrew chose to celebrate their love at Loch Aerie Mansion (@Loch_aerie_mansion), a romantic venue known for its enchanting setting, the stone mansion offered the perfect blend of old world charm and modern convenience with its towering stone walls and sprawling outdoor grounds. The sun filtered through the tall trees, bathing the surroundings in gorgeous light, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere for their nuptials.
After all the time she put into planning every perfect detail of her wedding we wanted to ask Carolyn her thoughts on what was your favorite part of your wedding day?
It is so hard to choose since the day goes by so fast, but the part that meant so much to me was the first look and right after we did our private vows. It was a moment of just us two sharing our love for one another.
During a wedding every bride has the opportunity to share themselves with family and friends and showcase their interests, passions and personality.
We asked Carolyn, did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration?
To me, Life is one big party! A common theme throughout the wedding was vibrant, retro, romantic and music inspired.
- Disco balls hanging by bright ribbons to add a feminine touch to it.
- Vinyl that was handed down to Andrew and I from our parents. We have an extensive vinyl collection.
- Bright colors throughout the wedding, including bridal party.
- Massive amount of florals.
- Retro photobooth machine.
- Heart shaped cake.
Carolyn wore an Australian designed wedding dress-our breathtaking tulle gown Sonoma from our Emanuella Collection, that was the epitome of romance and grace. The dress featured layers of soft flowing tulle that cascaded down into a full skirt, with a delicate lace bodice that added just the right amount of vintage-inspired elegance. The airy tulle fabric gave the gown a light ethereal feel, perfect for a summer wedding.
Her look was complimented by a simple yet stunning tulle customized shawl collar that added an extra personalized touch to the gown.
We asked Carolyn how did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
The experience at daydream bridal (@daydream_bridal) was amazing!! The dress I picked was the last one I tried on. I knew right away it was the one because once I turned around everyone was in tears. It just felt so right and true to my personal style. I added the tulle piece around the shoulders to add the softer romantic feel to my appearance. I was surrounded by my mother, bridal party and mother-in-law, which made the day so special.
Carolyn and Andrew’s wedding in Pennsylvania was nothing short of magical. From the stunning venue to the bride’s dreamy tulle gown by our Australian wedding dress designers, every detail was a reflection of their love for one another and the life they are building together. For any bride dreaming of a romantic wedding, this celebration was a perfect example of how to combine elegance and personal charm in a way that is unforgettable.
