A simple wedding with a hint of elegance | Dani & Jamie

Dani and Jamie met the good old fashion way… on a night out! It wasn’t long before love blossomed and Dani found herself marrying the man of her dreams. The pair exchanged vows at Sergeant’s Mess in Sydney with beautiful views across the harbour and just a sprinkling of rain in the afternoon. Peter Trends designer, Paulein, loved meeting Dani and putting together a gown that was uniquely her own. Dani had vision and a stunning dress was created for her special day.

How did you meet your husband?
The good old fashion way – a night out! We ended up in Kings Cross and met on the dance floor. I have no idea how I schmoozed him with my moves!

How did your partner proposed to you?
He wanted to propose on a private yacht sleepover out the front of the zoo, but the weather was so crazy our sleepover got cancelled. We ended up booking a night in the city. Finally the weather broke and he proposed when we were having a picnic in the Botanic Gardens.

What was your favourite part of your wedding?
Marrying the man of my dreams!

Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration?
Simplicity with a hint of elegance. My wedding dress was my inspiration.

How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
I had a really bad experience at another shop. They made me feel so self conscious and chubby. As soon as I walked into Peter Trends, they made me feel absolutely beautiful.

What did you love about your wedding gown?
I loved my dress so much! I loved that Peter Trends were up for me changing the original design to suit me. I adored my corset and my organza skirt.

Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day?
Peter Trends made me feel special which then made me find the perfect dress. My wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Do you have any words of wisdom for future brides?
Remember to have fun! Everything will work out – event when it rains (I love my photos in the rain!)
