A magical Venetian wedding for Anastasia & Paul in the most romantic city in the world

A magical Venetian wedding for Anastasia & Paul

Anastasia and Paul met when she was 15 and he was 16 through mutual friends. “The day I met him, I knew I was going to marry him”, reveals Anastasia.

So these star crossed lovers met at a young age and when it they knew that they were destined to be together forever we wondered how the proposal went. “Paul proposed to me on the beach at sunrise! We love sunrises, so it was incredibly special”.

With such a dreamy proposal, it could only be fitting that this couple decided to marry each other in one of the most romantic places on Earth, Venice Italy.

Anastasia told us she had so many favorite parts of the day, “But when Paul and I walked out of the church in Venice as husband and wife, that was truly my favorite part!”. What an incredible moment to remember forever.

There was no set theme or concept for the wedding day but the couple were inspired by Italy when planning the wedding. They wanted a small, intimate wedding with beautiful views and amazing food! And who would not agree, since they were getting married in Venice, there would truly be beauty in simplicity! Venice has a magical atmosphere that is hard to beat.

We asked Anastasia how she found the experience shopping for her wedding dress and she replied ;

“Shopping for a wedding gown was so much fun! There are thousands of dresses and each one is so beautiful in its own way! Every time I tried on a dress, I felt like a princess!”

And a stunning princess Anastasia was, in the Australian designed wedding dress, Girona from our Emanuella Collection. Opulence is the only way to describe this romantic wedding dress with full circle skirt, featuring pockets at the hip and corseted bodice.

The neckline of the gown was customised for our retail partners, The Wedding Factor, into a square neckline beauty, exclusively for this Philadelphia bridal boutique.

When Anastasia tried the Girona’s princess skirt, she knew it was the one. Made from the finest Mikado fabric and cut into a full circle, this A-line skirt is luxurious and full while the waist is small, reminiscent of 50’s glamour gowns.
