A breathtaking Bali wedding for our bride Emily and Joshua, set on scenic Bali cliff-top overlooking the beautiful sunsets over the Indian Ocean.

A breathtaking Bali wedding for our bride Emily and Joshua

From a chance meeting in an English bar in 2018 to a cosy sofa proposal in 2020 and a breathtaking Bali wedding surrounded by loved ones. We are thrilled to have been part of real life bride Emily’s love story, providing her dream gown, and the one and only wedding dress she tried on – SARDINIA from the Emanuella Collection.

A breathtaking Bali wedding for our bride Emily and Joshua

A destination wedding at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa was the perfect setting for this stunning couple, as friends and family flew in from the UK and Australia to share their day. Nestled on the southern tip of the iland of Bali, Uluwatu is known for its dramatic clifftop views, white sandy beaches and epic surf breaks.

The intimate wedding ceremony was held at the Wedding Celebration Pavilion, tucked away in the Resort’s serenity area. This modern glass wedding chapel is blessed with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Indian Ocean and the lush green tropical forest.

Followed by a lavish reception at the rooftop terrace, resembling Jineng, a traditional Balinese rice barn, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and gratitude for the union of two souls, fitting for a wedding. Great atmosphere, love, music and laughter well into this special Balinese night.

Emily met her partner, Joshua, in a bar in the UK in 2018. They got talking, realised how much they had in common and have been inseparable ever since. The proposal story is a little unorthodox, Emily tells us. “We had talked about marriage for quite a while and so Joshua asked me on the sofa in 2020 – shall we get married now?! We went to pick out the ring together in London and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of looking at the diamonds together.”

Emily and Joshua enjoyed everything about their wedding day, but the most wonderful part for them was standing back and seeing all the people they love having the best time together. They flew in from the UK and Australia to be with them and it was truly an unforgettable experience for the bride & groom.

Emily & Joshua wanted a low-key wedding and were inspired by the natural surroundings in Bali. They loved the green and white floral colour palette with small flashes of gold throughout the venue.

We asked Emily how she found her gorgeous beaded wedding dress, Sardinia. “The experience of shopping for a wedding gown was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done! I saw the dress on Pinterest and immediately investigated where I could go and try it on and that’s where I met the wonderful Kajsa at the Peter Trends Bridal head office and studio, Sydney.

As my Mum, sister and friends were back in the UK I felt nervous about going through the experience on my own. Thanks to Kajsa it was an easy and calm experience, and she answered all my questions with ease! I bought the one and only dress I tried on.”

Sardinia gown is like an unforgettable dream. Highly decorative but striking simple in silhouette, the Sardinia is embellished with sequins and beading from neckline to the illusion train. The low-back bridal gown ensured Emily stood out with the perfect blend effortless style and grace. The bodice is firm and corseted, offering a flattering, supportive fit. The square neckline is modern and compliments the bust while the fit and flare silhouette gives female curves the shape you dream of. This Australian designed wedding dress by sister duo Monique and Paulein at Peter Trends Bridal, is a gown that can be comfortably worn from beach to dance floor.

We wish Emily & Joshua a world of love and happiness in their beautiful union.
